humour is literally lifegiving it is said that medically, people who laugh are healthier than those who don't. I heard once of a writer who became ill, and over a course of weeks, laughed himself back to health. I was told recently of a famous humorist-writer who is known only to have ever told one joke. Humour takes different forms, and even has different significance to different people. I think Canadians have a pretty well developed sense of humour, and even comedy, although the people who live in Canada themselves come from so many parts of the world, many of those places also have well-developed humour, and maybe some of that has been brought here and all mixed together to make what is uniquely Canada's.
