my wife was an uncertain christian and a few years back she became a lutheran... live and let live. i walked her to and from a park across the street from her church, but never approached it. the main reason for this is that i am uncomfortable around people and very a-social - i am also an atheist materialist and the notion that i might burst into flames if i entered the church, had arisen. well, one sunday i wired up my i-pod to a couple of small but powerful speakers in my clothing and walked with my wife, down the path from the park... and started to cross the street with her... all the while bringing up the volume on a jerry goldsmith music cue from the omen.

she loved me anyway.
